New Delhi, July 4 -- Himachal Pradesh's Mandi is reeling from devastating flash floods and cloudbursts triggered by heavy rainfall.

Evacuation efforts are underway as at least 50 tourists are stranded in Janjheli. Approximately 80 km of road has been washed away, isolating areas like Saranj and Janjheli.

Officials are facing challenges in reaching the affected areas, but helicopters have been deployed to deliver relief material. Twenty bodies have been recovered so far, and at least 50 people are still reported missing.

The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for multiple districts in the state and warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall until July 7.
