New Delhi, June 17 -- Domestic airlines are facing a surge in flight cancellations and rescheduling following the recent Ahmedabad crash. In the last 24 hours, two Air India group flights encountered mid-air disruptions that led to precautionary landings and operational delays.

On Monday, an Air India Express Boeing 737 Max 8 flying from Delhi to Ranchi returned to Delhi shortly after takeoff due to a suspected technical fault. The aircraft underwent inspection and was later cleared to continue normal service.
