New Delhi, Aug. 6 -- Former West Germany international and 1990 FIFA World Cup winner Frank Mill passed away on Tuesday in Berlin at the age of 67.

Mill was part of the legendary 1990 squad that lifted the World Cup in Italy, though he did not feature in any matches during the tournament.

He earned 17 caps for West Germany and also secured a bronze medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. At the club level, Mill enjoyed a successful career, notably winning the German Cup with Borussia Dortmund.

He becomes the second member of the 1990 World Cup-winning squad to pass away, following Andreas Brehme, who scored the decisive goal in the final against Argentina.
