New Delhi, Jan. 20 -- Africa's popular dessert- the Sahara, experienced snowfall due to a temperature plunge at 2 degrees Celsius.

Photographer Karim Bouchetata captured the bizarre photos of the snow-loaded Sahara desert. The astonishing scenes of the desert town of Ain Sefra in Algeria show snow covering the dry dunes of the desert. Ain Sefra is known as the doorway to the Sahara Desert. It is found 1000 m over the ocean level and is bordered by the Atlas Mountains.
