New Delhi, Dec. 7 -- Culminating the two-day long Progressive Punjab Investors Summit-2019 on a positive note, the Punjab government promised to initiate steps to boost the industrial sector.

Besides setting up a working group to be headed by the Chief Secretary to ensure expeditious delivery on all proposals discussed at the summit, Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh decided to formulate a Rs 100-crore startup fund. The working group will be submitting a report in this regard within a month.

The startup fund will be set up in partnership with IKG Punjab Technical University for the promotion of incubators.
