Pakistan name 20-member squad for Test series vs South Africa; 9 uncapped players included
New Delhi, Jan. 16 -- Pakistan has named a 20-member squad for the upcoming home test series against South Africa. Abdullah Shafique, Haris Rauf, Imran Butt, Kamran Ghulam, Nauman Ali, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, Sajid Khan and Tabish Khan are the 9 uncapped players in the squad. Hasan Ali and left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz return to the side. Haris Sohail, Mohammad Abbas, Shan Masood and Zafar Gohar who were part of the side that toured New Zealand have been dropped.
According to a release by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the 20-player squad is as follows (First class teams in bracket)
Openers - Abid Ali (Central Punjab), Abdullah Shafique (Central Punjab) and Imran Butt (Balochistan)
