New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has called on an emergency meeting to take a stock of the situation that has been borne by the increasing water level in Yamuna River in Delhi and adjoining areas of the National Capital Territory. Evacuation of people who reside in low-lying areas has already begun by the concerned authorities.

The water level of the river is likely to reach 207 metres, which is above 205.33 metres- the official danger mark. Also, there is huge threat to life and property that has prompted District Magistrate (East) to direct Sub-Divisional Magistrates to evacuate and shift people to safe locations.
