New Delhi, May 29 -- Accusing the grand old party of indulging in "political slander" which is "unfortunate but expected", senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union minister Smriti Irani said that the opposition party is "seeking benefit from challenges" facing the country in present times.

"it is unfortunate that when the nation needs to stand united against the COVID-19 pandemic, certain political parties are seeking benefit from challenges the country faces," said Smriti Irani in a hard-hitting counter attack on the Congress after opposition party Chief Sonia Gandhi took a swipe at Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre over the migrants issue.
