The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has now expanded the daily limit of tourists to 64. Prior, the daily limit of visitors permitted to climb the trail was 20 to secure the region's veracity.

Apparently, the grants to climb this sensitive geographical feature are in demand. Around 200000 individuals applied for permits in 2018, against 7300 accessible permits to climb through the Coyote Buttes North part of the park.
