New Delhi, May 23 -- An official stated that the Delhi government's excise department on Friday, May 22, gave its nod to 66 private liquor shops to resume operations and maintained that the odd-even rule must be followed.

Adding further, the official said that only 66 private liquor stores in the National Capital have so far complied with the government's order following which they have been given approval to reopen and operate from 9 am to 6.30 pm. However, in accordance with the government's order, the liquor shops in malls will remain closed.
