IPU in Doha: Morocco Proposes International Mechanism to Protect Palestinians
Rabat, April 7 -- The President of the House of Advisors, Hakim Benchamach, is leading a large delegation to represent Morocco during the 140th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which opened on Saturday in Doha.
The symposium is convening the speakers of 80 parliaments from around the world, in addition to more than 2270 MPs from 162 countries, including Morocco.
Before the opening of the symposium, Morocco's delegation introduced a proposal to establish a mechanism to ensure international protection for the Palestinian people.
