New Delhi, May 12 -- In his latest podcast, Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath asked Bangalore traffic commissioners IPS officers B Dayananda and MN Anucheth if politicians who break traffic signals get challans.

During the interaction with IPS officers B Dayananda (Commissioner of Police) and MN Anucheth (Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic), Nikhil Kamath tried to understand the traffic-related issues of Bangalore and how they can be solved.

Replying to the question on whether politicians breaking the signals get challans, B Dayananda said, "Yeah, they do. They keep paying because the driver has to."

Anucheth added, "The policy here is that nothing will be changed unless there is a wrongly raised challan, which is extreamly rare case...
