New Delhi, Aug. 11 -- The auspicious festival of Janmashtami, known by different names such as Krishna Janmashtami, Krishnashtami, Gokulashtami, Ashtami Rohini, Srikrishna Jayanti and Sree Jayanthi,marks the birth of Lord Krishna.
