New Delhi, Oct. 14 -- R&B Icon D'Angelo, whose real name was Michael Eugene Archer, died at the age of 51 after he had been fighting cancer for a long time but kept it private. His family announced that he passed away peacefully on 14 October 2025.
"The shining star of our family has dimmed his light for us in this life," they said in a statement to TODAY.com. "After a long and brave fight with cancer, we are heartbroken to announce that Michael D'Angelo Archer has been called home."
