New Delhi, Feb. 7 -- Two-time champions West Indies will open their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against late entrants Scotland in a Group C clash at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday. Having lifted the trophy in 2014 and 2016, West Indies are coming into this tournament after a 1-2 loss against Afghanistan.
On the other hand, Scotland have come into the tournament after Bangladesh refused to travel to India citing security reasons. Although the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) requested the ICC to change their venues, but the apex body rejected.
