New Delhi, May 14 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow and orange weather alerts across multiple districts of Maharashtra for May 15 and 16, warning of thunderstorms, gusty winds, lightning, and scattered rainfall. As pre-monsoon conditions intensify, both coastal and interior parts of the state are expected to witness unstable weather, prompting the IMD to issue yellow and orange alerts in different regions.
A yellow Alert has been issued for Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, and other districts.
