Weather today, June 16 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has lifted red alerts issued for Kerala and Tamil Nadu but warned against possibility of heavy rains on June 16 along coastal regions of Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka, where red alert is still intact.

An orange alert warning for heavy rains in place for Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.
