New Delhi, Nov. 3 -- Vedanta share price rallied over 3% in early trade on Monday after the company reported its Q2 results. Vedanta shares rallied as much as 3.19% to Rs.509.35 apiece on the BSE.
Billionaire Anil Agarwal-led metals and mining major Vedanta reported a 59% fall in its consolidated net profit at Rs.1,798 crore for the second quarter of FY26, compared to Rs.4,352 crore in the year-ago period. The sharp fall in Vedanta's Q2 net profit was attributed to a net exceptional loss of Rs.2,067 crore.
The company reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue at Rs.39,868 crore in Q2FY26, registering a growth of 5.9% from Rs.37,634 crore, year-on-year (YoY).
