New Delhi, May 3 -- Warren Buffett, 94, at Berkshire Hathaway's annual shareholder meeting, issued a stark warning against weaponizing trade - a veiled criticism of US President Donald Trump's tariff-heavy policies.
Speaking before a crowd of nearly 40,000 attendees at Omaha's CHI Health Center, the legendary investor cautioned against alienating global partners through aggressive trade moves that disrupt markets and damage long-term relationships.
"It's a big mistake in my view when you have 7.5 billion people who don't like you very well, and you have 300 million who are crowing about how they have done," Buffett said, addressing the top concern submitted by shareholders ahead of the meeting.
