New Delhi, Sept. 17 -- US President Donald Trump arrived in Britain on Tuesday for a historic second state visit, accepted at the invitation of King Charles III.

Air Force One touched down at London's Stansted Airport at 9:07 pm local time (2007 GMT). Speaking to reporters en route, Trump described the visit as "going to be a very big thing," signaling a high-profile engagement with the British monarchy and government.

After stepping off Air Force One, President Trump and First Lady Melania were welcomed by US Chief of Protocol, Ambassador Monica Crowley.

They will also be formally received by Viscount Hood, Lord-in-Waiting, representing King Charles III.
