New Delhi, July 10 -- US President Donald Trump on Wednesday (July 9) said he believed a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas was imminent. "I will tell you, we're getting very close to a deal," Trump said. "We want to have a ceasefire. We want to have peace. We want to get the hostages back. And I think we're close to doing it."

He added, "We have a chance this week or next week."

Trump's remarks came after his second meeting in two days with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. The talks, held on Wednesday (July 9) were focused almost entirely on the conflict in Gaza and the remaining hostages still held by Hamas.
