New Delhi, Nov. 24 -- A federal judge on Monday (November 24) dismissed the criminal case against former FBI Director James Comey, calling into question the legality of the prosecution that had been pushed aggressively by President Donald Trump. The judge also threw out a parallel indictment of New York Attorney General Letitia James, another high-profile Trump critic.
Both cases were brought by Lindsey Halligan, a former personal attorney to Trump who was appointed interim US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia in September.
