New Delhi, March 15 -- A series of violent tornadoes and severe storms tore through parts of the US on Saturday, leaving at least six people dead and causing widespread destruction. The powerful system moved east into the Mississippi Valley and Deep South.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that two adults were killed in the Bakersfield area of Ozark County, while multiple others were injured. In Butler County, a couple's home was completely destroyed while they were sleeping. The coroner described the wreckage as unrecognizable, with walls and flooring overturned. The man in the home was killed, but a woman was rescued from the debris.
