New Delhi, April 11 -- After Tahawwur Rana, accused in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, was extradited to India yesterday and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) getting his formal arrest with 18-day remand, the US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said Rana is India's "possession" and both countries will "continue to work together to combat the global scourge of terrorism".

The White House in a press release called Rana's extradition a "critical step toward seeking justice" for the six Americans and numerous victims who lost their lives in the "heinous attacks".
