New Delhi, April 30 -- Suchi Semicon, promoted by Surat's Suchi Group, appears to be making slow but steady progress in the outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) space, having dispatched its first consignment within five months of starting operations.
"We have shipped our first pilot batch to a US-based client," co-founder Shetal Mehta toldMint in an interview, declining to identify the buyer.
The startup, which is awaiting approval from the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) for incentives offered by the government, hopes this milestone will "open more doors."
Since starting operations in December 2024, Suchi focused on setting up machines, assembling dummy wafers and training staff.
