New Delhi, Sept. 8 -- Mining giant Vedanta, in its successful bid for the debt-ridden Jaiprakash Associates Ltd (JAIL), has proposed an upfront payment of Rs.4,000 crore after receiving NCLT approval, with the remaining amount to be paid over the next 5-6 years.
