New Delhi, May 26 -- Ashok Leyland: For the first time since 2011, Ashok Leyland announced a 1:1 bonus share issue. Alongside this, the company declared a dividend of Rs.4.25 per share, resulting in a total payout of Rs.1,248 crore. In the March quarter, the company reported a 38.4 percent year-on-year increase in net profit, which rose to Rs.1,246 crore, aided significantly by a one-time tax credit of Rs.173 crore. Revenue for the quarter grew 5.7 percent to Rs.11,907 crore.
