The Nifty 50 surged 320.50 points (1.24%) to 26,205.30, while the Sensex climbed 1,022.50 points (1.21%) to 85,609.51, inching closer to its record highs. Sentiment improved after softer-than-expected US economic data strengthened expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut in December, while crude oil prices continued to ease.
