Stock market recap, Nov. 26 -- Indian benchmark indices extended their losing streak for a third straight session on Tuesday, 25 November, with volatility rising sharply in the final hour ahead of the monthly derivatives expiry. The Nifty 50 slipped 74.70 points, or 0.29%, to close at 25,884.80, while the Sensex fell 314 points, or 0.37%, to settle at 84,587.
The weakness was broad-based, reflected in a negative advance-decline ratio as significantly more stocks declined than advanced-signalling caution beyond the frontline indices. Among sectors, heavyweight IT, FMCG, and select financial stocks dragged the market lower, while PSU banks, metals, and realty names displayed notable resilience.
