New Delhi, Feb. 26 -- The Indian stock market remained closed on Wednesday, February 26, on account of Mahashivratri. A total of 18 stock market holidays have been scheduled for 2025, with Mahashivratri being the first holiday of the year.
In March 2025, the market will observe two holidays, as per the holiday schedule released by exchanges Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE).
The Indian stock market will remain closed on March 14 for Holi and on March 31 for Id-Ul-Fitr (Ramzan Id).

April 1 - Annual bank closing
April 10 - Shri Mahavir Jayanti
April 14 - Ambedkar Jayanti
April 18 - Good Friday (Ramzan Id)
