New Delhi, Dec. 18 -- The controversial Snicko metre drama continued in the ongoing third Ashes 2025 Test after England's Jamie Smith became the latest victim of the Decision Review System (DRS) technology on Thursday at the Adelaide Oval. The incident took place in the 46th over of England's first innings after the home side were all out for 371 in their first essay.
Against a short ball off Australian captain Pat Cummins, Smith went early for a pull shot and looked to have got a faint edge. As both Smith and his partner Ben Stokes shake their head, on-field umpire Nitin Menon after consultation with square-leg umpire, called third umpire Chris Gaffaney to check whether the ball had kissed the bat.
