New Delhi, Feb. 1 -- Silver prices in your city today, 1 February: Silver prices have slumped by over Rs.1 lakh in two days as commodity prices took a hit at the Indian and global markets amid a selloff in the broader metal markets.
Silver prices crashed more than 36% on Friday, a record intraday decline as a silver price crash was triggered amid strong US dollar after Donald Trump nominated Kevin Warsh as the new Fed Chair. On Saturday, it further crashed 9% on the MCX as trading opened on Budget 2026 day.
MCX silver price today crashed 9% to trade at Rs.2,65,652 at 9:30 am. This was down by almost Rs.30,000 as compared to last session's close.
