New Delhi, Nov. 26 -- The Indian stock market saw strong gains in intraday trade on Wednesday, November 26, amid positive global cues. The Sensex jumped over 900 points, or almost 1%, to an intraday high of 85,512.50, while the Nifty 50 rose by over 1% to a day's high of 26,173.60.

The gains were broad-based as the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices jumped by more than 1% each during the session.

Investors' wealth increased by about Rs.5 lakh crore as the overall market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms rose to nearly Rs.474 lakh crore from Rs.469 lakh crore in the previous session.
