New Delhi, Sept. 17 -- Benchmark indices ended on a positive note on September 17, with the Nifty reclaiming the 25,300 mark. The Sensex closed 313.02 points higher, or 0.38 percent, at 82,693.71, while the Nifty gained 91.15 points, or 0.36 percent, to settle at 25,330.25. Market breadth was positive as 2,311 shares advanced, 1,655 declined, and 164 remained unchanged.
Tata Consumer, SBI, BEL, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Maruti Suzuki emerged as the top gainers on the Nifty, while HDFC Life, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finserv, Titan Company, and SBI Life Insurance were among the laggards.
