New Delhi, July 14 -- Domestic market benchmarks, the Sensex and the Nifty 50, ended in the red on Monday, July 14, extending losses to the fourth consecutive session.
The Sensex settled at 82,253.46, down 247 points, or 0.30 per cent, while the Nifty 50 ended the day 68 points, or 0.27 per cent, lower at 25,082.30.
However, the BSE Midcap index rose 0.67 per cent, while the Smallcap index climbed 0.57 per cent.
Thanks to gains in the mid and small-cap segments, the overall market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms rose to nearly Rs.457.6 lakh crore from Rs.456.7 lakh crore in the previous session.
