Stock market today, Sept. 23 -- The Indian stock market ended lower on Tuesday, September 23, with frontline indices, the Sensex and the Nifty 50, extending losses to their third consecutive session as concerns over an H-1B visa fee hike and uncertainty over India-US trade talks continued weighing on sentiment. However, expectations of favourable growth-inflation dynamics amid GST reforms, a normal monsoon, and interest rate cuts limited losses for the markets.

The Sensex closed at 82,101.45, down 58 points, or 0.07 per cent, while the Nifty 50 settled at 25,185.80, down 17 points, or 0.07 per cent.
