New Delhi, Dec. 9 -- Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday as part of his second visit to the country in the year. After the meet with PM Modi, Nadella said that he had an 'inspiring' conversation on India's AI opportunity and commited to spending $17.5 billion help build the required infrastructure and skills in the country.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Nadella wrote, "Thank you, PM @narendramodi ji, for an inspiring conversation on India's AI opportunity. To support the country's ambitions, Microsoft is committing US$17.5B-our largest investment ever in Asia-to help build the infrastructure, skills, and sovereign capabilities needed for India's AI first future. @PMOIndia"
