New Delhi, April 6 -- Royal Enfield Classic 650 was launched earlier this month, expanding the Indian motorcycle company's 650cc range. The Classic 650 joins the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and other 650cc motorcycles in the lineup and is priced at Rs.3.37 lakh ex-showroom, offering riders who prefer a more upright and traditional look a choice.
Essentially, the Classic 650 shares much with the Super Meteor - identical 648cc parallel-twin engine and frame. But the overall execution is different. The Classic is more conservative, heritage-oriented with less bodywork, a teardrop tank, and a riding position that's not as laid-back as its cruiser sibling.
