New Delhi, Feb. 19 -- Days after the Adani Group announced a mammoth $100 billion plan for artificial intelligence (AI)-ready data centres and power, fellow conglomerate Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) fired another salvo on Thursday with a $110 billion ( Rs.10 trillion) bet to build India's sovereign AI backbone.
The money would be invested over seven years by RIL and Jio Platforms (its digital business), Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani said on the fourth day of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi.
