New Delhi, March 27 -- Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar has dismissed the privilege motion notice moved by the Congress against Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The motion was moved by Congress MP Jairam Ramesh on March 26 for "casting aspersions" on senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.
Dhankhar rejected the motion on March 27, according to news agency ANI.
Jairam had submitted notice as per Rule 188 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) against Shah. Ramesh quoted a statement that Amit Shah made during the Parliamentary session on March 25.
