New Delhi, Feb. 16 -- The Delhi High Court on Monday granted interim suspension of sentence to actor Rajpal Yadav in a cheque bounce case, observing that a sum of Rs.1.5 crore has already been deposited in the respondent's bank account.
While considering the relief, the Court took note of the payment made and ordered suspension of the sentence on the condition that Yadav furnish a personal bond of Rs.1 lakh along with one surety of the same amount.
The actor will remain out of custody until March 18, when the matter is scheduled to be heard again.
According to The Times of India, the Delhi High Court had directed Yadav's lawyer to pay Rs.1.5 crore in the name of the respondent by 3 PM.
