New Delhi, May 9 -- Air traffic controllers at New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport lost radar contact for 90 seconds on Friday, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said.
During the previous outage at Newark Airport on May 5, air traffic control computer screens went dark for around 60 to 90 seconds, and controllers lost communication with aircraft. The Federal Aviation Administration responded by halting all departures to Newark, blaming "telecommunications and equipment issues at Philadelphia TRACON."
