New Delhi, Nov. 26 -- Penny Oleksiak, Canada's most decorated Olympian with seven Olympic medals, has accepted a two-year ban from the International Testing Agency (ITA) after recording three "whereabouts failures" within 12 months.

Under World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) rules, top-tier athletes must submit daily one-hour time slots and overnight locations so testers can conduct surprise out-of-competition tests. Three missed tests or filing failures in 12 months equals an anti-doping rule violation, with sanctions ranging from one to two years. Oleksiak's case falls on the higher end of that scale.
