New Delhi, May 29 -- Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yash Dayal and Josh Hazlewood took a wicket each to give Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) the upper hand early on in the Qualifier 1 against Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the new PCA stadium in Mullanpur on Thursday. Sent into bat first, Punjab Kings had the worst possible start as Priyansh Arya was the first one to go off Bhuvneshwar.
Prabhsimran Singh, who became the fifth Punjab Kings batter to score 500-plus runs in an IPL season, was the second batter to be dismissed. Josh Hazlewood, who returned to the RCB playing XI, then dismissed opposition captain Shreyas Iyer and Josh Inglis for single digits to give them the upper hand.
