New Delhi, April 10 -- Exporters on Thursday expressed relief after US President Donald Trump announced a 90-day deferral of reciprocal tariffs, saying this will provide a crucial window for pushing the talks on the proposed bilateral trade agreement between India and America.

They said that diplomatic engagement and fast-tracking negotiations for the trade pact will help India deal with these tariffs.

Trump on Wednesday announced that he had authorised a 90-day pause, and a lowered Reciprocal Tariff of 10% during the three months of truce amid trade wars induced market meltdown. He also announced that US had hiked China tariffs to a whopping 125%.
