New Delhi, Feb. 15 -- OpenAI board has unanimously decided to reject Elon Musk's $97.4 billion takeover attempt for the ChatGPT maker. In a statement issued on X, Bret Taylor, OpenAI's chair of Board of Directors reiterated CEO Sam Altman's recent statements that 'OpenAI is not for sale' while adding that this is an attempt by Musk to 'disrupt his competition'.
"OpenAI is not for sale, and the board has unanimously rejected Mr. Musk's latest attempt to disrupt his competition. Any potential reorganization of OpenAI will strengthen our nonprofit and its mission to ensure AGI benefits all of humanity." Taylor was quoted by saying by OpenAI.
