New Delhi, Jan. 21 -- NASA's Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams, who was recently stranded on the International Space Station (ISS), has retired, the space agency announced late on Tuesday.
Williams' retirement comes after 27 years of service to the space agency, and became effective on 27 December 2025, NASA said.
Williams completed three missions aboard the ISS, and set numerous human spaceflight records throughout her career.
