New Delhi, Dec. 29 -- Kannada and Tamil television actor Nandini CM has died by suicide at her residence in Bengaluru, sending shockwaves through the regional television industry.

The actor, who was currently appearing in a Tamil serial as a lead, reportedly left behind a note addressed to her parents in which she spoke about emotional distress and pressure to get married.

According to preliminary information shared by the police, Nandini was found at her home, and a suicide note was recovered from the scene. In the note, she is said to have written that she was being pressured by her parents to enter into a marriage she was not mentally prepared for.
