Modi-Trump talks, Feb. 12 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet US President Donald Trump on February 13. The meeting with President Trump will make Modi one of the first foreign leaders to visit Washington since the US leader took office on January 20.
In this visit, Modi will try to pick up where he left off four years ago in wooing Donald Trump, as he offered quick tariff concessions in hopes of avoiding the second-term president's wrath, according to news agency AFP.
For decades, US presidents, irrespective of party, have prioritised building ties with India. India-US relations have always been seen through the prism of a rising China, and hence, India is often seen as a natural partner.
