New Delhi, Nov. 28 -- The parents of the decorated Indian Army officer Major Mohit Sharma have filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking an urgent stay on the release of the upcoming film 'Dhurandhar', starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar.
The family argues that the film appears to draw heavily from Major Sharma's covert military career and martyrdom - including undercover operations in Kashmir - despite the fact that no consent was taken from the family or from the Indian Army.
According to the petition filed by Sharma's parents, scenes from the trailer and promotional material for 'Dhurandhar' seem to parallel real events from the late officer's life. They contended that the film uses his story without authorisati...
